Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground pork
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried sage optional but recommended
  • ¼ tsp chili flakes optional

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the ground pork along with all the spices.
  2. Mix everything gently using your hands until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into round patties. Keep them slightly thin for even cooking.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
  7. Once golden brown and fully cooked, remove and let them rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Dried sage adds a classic sausage flavor—highly recommended.
  • You can adjust spices based on your taste preference.
  • Patties can be made smaller for snacks or meal prep.
  • Avoid overcooking to keep them juicy and tender.
